Tell us how KO is making a difference in your community: Fill in an online postcard today!
Knowledge Ontario is asking for your stories, anecdotes, facts, and examples of how the services we offer through our library and cultural partners at no additional cost are making a real difference in the lives of all Ontarians.
Knowledge Ontario provides online e-resources including electronic databases, virtual reference chat help, and other learning and discovery tools.
Our guiding principle of equal access means that everyone in Ontario benefits, from the larger urban centres to those living in rural, remote, Northern, First Nation and Francophone communities.
Are you using any of these services and tools? How are they making a difference in how services are delivered? What difference have they made to your clients and community? What would happen if they were no longer available?
We are particularly interested in stories that speak about services to children and youth, newcomers, socially isolated groups, people looking to develop new skills or start a business, and seniors. Please take a few moments to tell us your stories using an online postcard.
Why your stories are important to us?
In this time of economic restraint, Knowledge Ontario must ensure that it can demonstrate the strongest possible case to potential funders of the value of its work. We can make the case that through its provincial partnerships and collaborations, KO services generate significant cost savings. Now we are documenting the value of the services to Ontarians.
While we have a compelling story to tell, the most powerful part of that story is you. That’s what gives us the ability to describe the hundreds of “on the ground” experiences that provide real and lasting impacts in the lives of people in communities across Ontario. We ask your help in telling the stories that demonstrate the value of our work and make it tangible to funders.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the KO postcard now.
