Milestones

• Release of OurOntario.ca Portal 3.0 (February 2010): multipart object display and searchability
• Releases of our VITA Toolset: 1.0 (2003, developed for HALINET), 2.0 (2005), 3.0 (September 2007), 3.1 (January 2008), 3.2 (July 2008), 3.3 (March 2009); 3.4 (January 2010).
  
• Adoption of OurOntario.ca portal technologies nationwide. Our innovative features and extensibility has led to the adoption of our discovery system for the national portal Canadiana.org (formerly known as the Alouette portal).
• Launch of Government Documents portal (January 2008)- in partnership with the Legislative Library- providing for the first time ever Ontario citizens with the ability to search and obtain the full text of more than 20,000 government publications from the Government Documents Collection of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
• Winner of the 2008 OLITA Award for Technological Innovation.
• Launch of the OurOntario.ca portal (November 2007) – easy, one search access to thousands of text, audio, video and images. Search results link directly to local content. Beta demo of the OurOntario.ca portal at the official launch of Knowledge Ontario in November of 2006.
• 2005 – Ministry of Culture funds a “Memory Ontario” pilot project.
