2010 Information Technology Hero Award Finalist for Knowledge Ontario

The Community IT Hero Award of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) recognizes an individual, group or not-for-profit organization that can demonstrate the creative application of information technology in improving the lives of Canadians.

2010 CLA Information Today Award for Innovative Technology for Knowledge Ontario

The award is given in recognition of both the breath and depth and equity of access KO initiatives have brought to the province of Ontario.

2008 OLITA Award for Technology Innovation in Libraries for Our Ontario portal

OLITA has awarded OurOntario.ca portal ... due to the scope of the project, its content recruitment approach, its foundation of open source technology, and its impact on Ontarians. It is innovative in both its scope and its pursuit of providing a measure of regional search to a field dominated by large foreign corporations.
